1. Service Description
TaxRosetta provides AI-powered tax education tools including a Q&A system, IRS letter scanner, tax calculators, and educational content. Our AI responses are grounded in IRS publications and designed to help you understand tax concepts.
2. Not Tax Advice
TaxRosetta is a tax education platform. We are NOT a CPA firm, enrolled agent, tax attorney, or registered tax preparer.
- Our AI provides general tax information and education only.
- Nothing on this platform constitutes personalized tax, legal, or financial advice.
- You should always consult a qualified tax professional for decisions about your specific tax situation.
- We are not responsible for any financial outcomes resulting from reliance on our educational content.
3. Accounts and Subscriptions
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Free accounts include 3 AI questions per month and 1 letter scan trial.
- Pro subscriptions ($14.99/month or $99/year) include unlimited access and a 7-day free trial.
- Single scan purchases ($9.99) are non-refundable once the scan has been processed.
4. Payments and Billing
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the billing date.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds for subscriptions are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of a charge.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including tax evasion or fraud.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our AI systems.
- Share your account credentials with others.
- Submit false or misleading documents to the scanner.
- Use automated systems to send bulk requests to our API.
6. AI Limitations
- Our AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Tax laws change frequently. While we strive to keep our data current, some information may be outdated.
- AI-generated letter scans are interpretations, not certified translations.
- We provide citations to IRS publications so you can verify information independently.
7. Intellectual Property
TaxRosetta's branding, design, and proprietary technology are owned by us. IRS publications and tax code content are public domain. Your uploaded documents remain your property.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxRosetta shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses from tax decisions made based on our educational content.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
